Preparing to commence UNSW Medicine

There are some important requirements you must fulfil before you can commence a clinical placement at your assigned hospital. It may take weeks to obtain the necessary paperwork, so we strongly advise you to commence this process as soon as possible.

Students must note that clinical placement in the NSW Health System is a substantial and essential element in the UNSW Medicine Program and commences at the beginning of first year. Students who fail to satisfy the requirements at any point during their enrolment in the Medicine Program may be excluded from the Program. Depending upon the circumstances at the time, students may be eligible to transfer to another Program of the University.

We strongly urge you familiarise yourself with the following sections on Getting Started Page.
